Tips for Adapting to a Shampoo Bar
If you are switching from conventional liquid shampoo to a shampoo bar, your hair may feel different at first. Some people notice that their hair feels heavier, waxier or greasier during the first few washes, while others adapt without any noticeable transition period.
Results can vary depending on your hair type, previous hair-care products, product build-up, water quality and washing technique. If your hair does not feel right initially, try adjusting how you use the bar before deciding whether it suits your hair.
Especially when starting out, we recommend creating a gentle lather between your hands and massaging the lather into your wet scalp and hair rather than repeatedly rubbing the bar directly over the hair.
Rinse thoroughly after washing, paying particular attention if you have long or thick hair. Water quality can also affect how a shampoo bar feels in use, so thorough rinsing is especially important if you notice any residue or heaviness.
How to Use & Care
Wet the hair and shampoo bar thoroughly. Work the bar between your hands to create a lather, or glide it gently over wet hair. Massage the lather through the scalp and hair, then rinse thoroughly. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.
After use, place the bar on a well-draining soap dish and allow it to dry between uses. Keeping the bar away from standing water will help it last longer.
